GETTING TO KNOW SHARON

Director of Compliance, serves as an advisor for trade and development. She is an advisor to the U.S. Trade Representative’s Committee on Africa and to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce and the U.S. Trade Representative.

Beyond your job title, please explain your role at Creative?
I am responsible for helping promote a culture of compliance by putting in place policies, procedures, and internal controls that minimize risk. I have had the opportunity to visit some of Creative’s projects in various countries around the world, allowing me to see firsthand the positive difference the company makes in helping people realize their goals and become empowered.

Do you have a favorite development experience you can share?
In my Compliance role, I get to visit some of the projects and see firsthand the positive difference the work that the company makes in helping people realize their goals and to become empowered.

Do you have a favorite, unique or fascinating country where you have worked?
My favorite country is Hong Kong, where I lived for 12 years.

What’s your favorite movie or book?  Why?
My favorite movie is Dr. Zhivago because it shows the behind the scenes perspective of what it takes to change a culture and the impact of that change on the people.
