Benjamin Feit combines extensive field experience and program management with business development

April 28, 2021

CHEVY CHASE, M.D. — Creative Associates International has named Benjamin Feit as its first Chief Business Development Officer, a role that combines growth strategies with proposal development.

“Ben’s depth of experience, innovative ideas and commitment to Creative’s vision and mission made him the ideal candidate for this new post,” says Leland Kruvant, President and CEO of Creative. “This combination ensures Creative’s continued growth.”

As the Chief Business Development Officer, Feit will lead the company’s business development and funding diversification strategies, oversee proposal development and coordinate among other divisions to ensure continued growth. He will serve on the company’s Executive Committee and report to the President and CEO.

Kruvant cites Feit’s consistent and impressive track-record in business development, identifying new funding opportunities, establishing – and growing – technical practices from the ground-up and driving revenue growth.

Feit joins Creative after several successful years as CARE USA’s Associate Vice President for Institutional Funding and Strategy in Washington, D.C., where he developed and led a comprehensive, data-driven growth strategy that focused on the U.S. government and multilateral clients like the World Bank.

“What drew me to Creative is its incredible history and its vision for the future,” Feit says. “I want to be part of a global organization that conceives and implements innovative, locally focused programming that has a lasting, positive impact on people. Creative is that organization.”

Feit says his approach to business development is based on three core principles: Being responsive to the client’s vision of the challenge; respecting the integrity of Creative’s professional expertise development, innovation and solutions; and fairness and transparency with partners.

During his 25-years of experience, he has worked in 40 countries and has extensive experience in Sub-Sahara Africa and Eastern Europe.  Feit’s career includes implementing programs in the field, including in Niger and Romaniaworking directly with the U.S. Agency for International Development in postwar Bosnia and Herzegovina and as Vice President / Executive Director of ECIAfrica in South Africa. He has played leadership roles at Development Alternatives (DAI), Deloitte ConsultingPalladium among other organizations.

What has kept me interested throughout my career is a deep-seated passion for the work, a belief that international development is about social justice and the idea that everybody deserves an equal opportunity to prosper and to have a positive livelihood for themselves, their families and their communities,” Feit says.
