Creative Associates International names new Senior Vice President

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Sharon Cooley has been promoted from Vice President to Senior Vice President of Business Development at Creative Associates International, the global development company announced.

“Sharon has demonstrated outstanding leadership and professional skill in her role leading our Business Development team,” says Leland Kruvant, President and CEO of Creative. “Her passion for improving lives and building stronger communities is coupled with her unparalleled business and proposal expertise.”

Under her guidance, the Business Development team has collaborated to generate new projects and grow the company’s portfolio during the past two years, including several IDIQs such as Youth Power and a major early grade reading and education access program in Northern Nigeria.

Cooley, who joins Tom Wheelock and Earl Gast as Senior Vice Presidents at Creative, says she is honored to have received this appointment.

“I’m looking forward to stepping up and taking on a larger role at Creative,” she says. “With each new success, we have the opportunity to support more children and communities in some of the most vulnerable regions of the world.”

Cooley joined Creative in 2011 and earned successive promotions. Prior to Creative, Cooley spent more than seven years at the Urban Institute as a Senior Associate and more than three years with the City of Riverside, Calif. She earned a Master’s degree from the New School for Social Research in 1994.

In addition to Cooley’s role in Business Development, Kruvant also noted that she has been a role model throughout the organization.

“Sharon has been a mentor to staff members inside and outside of her Division, as well as a person who is sought out by her peers for advice and direction,” says Kruvant. “Sharon is the caliber of person that Creative prides itself on attracting, retaining and promoting.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/12″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_widget_sidebar sidebar_id=”sidebar-primary”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
