Upcoming Networking Event Offers Gender and Development Career Advice

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Insights on a career in gender and development will be offered by Washington, D.C.-based experts at a Nov. 6 event at the offices of Creative Associates International.
Called “Pathways to a Career in Gender and Development,” the panelists will answer questions on the rewards, challenges and surprises related to working on gender issues, as well as providing advice for young professionals wishing to embark on similar paths.
Featured speakers include: Jozefina Cutura, Associate Director of Social and Gender Assessment at the Millennium Challenge Corporation; Henriette Kolb, the leader of the International Finance Corporation’s Gender Secretariat; Dr. Vanessa Beary, Senior Advisor for Youth Entrepreneurship and Partnerships and a Franklin Fellow at the U.S. Department of State; and Creative’s co-founder and CEO Charito Kruvant.
Following the presentations, attendees are invited to a “knowledge café,” where gender experts from a range of Washington, D.C.-based organizations will answer career-focused questions about their work and professional experiences.
“Pathways to a Career in Gender and Development” will take place at Creative Associates International, 5301 Wisconsin Ave., NW, Washington D.C. in the B1 Conference Center from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. It is co-sponsored by the Gender and Development Networking Group of Washington, D.C.
