You’ve had a tremendous first year. Whe n Think Creative l aunched last fall, we could not have anticipated the response from our readers. Creative’s field staff told us they delighted in flipping the pages and learning about the great work of their colleagues on the other side of the globe. Our partners and clients told us they appreciated the chance to go beyond the numbers and see these stories of change up close. But some of the most surprising feedback has come from our program participants, the very people whose stories we are hon- ored to tell. Consider 17-year-old Aisha Mo- hammed of Maiduguri, Nigeria, who was on the cover of the first issue of Think Creative . She sur- vived a terrorist attack, was dis- placed from her community and later enrolled in a back-to-school program called USAID Education Crisis Response, which was run by Creative. When Aisha saw her photo on the cover of the first issue, she cried. With no internet access, she could not watch the video or read the online story about her amazing resilience and success, but Think Creative told her story. During the past 12 months, the three English-language versions and one special edition in Spanish have captivated readers with sto- ries like Aisha’s and compelling photography from Afghanistan to Nigeria. The magazine is a company-wide effort, with content coming from staff around the world. I love the entire issue, though I always start with Creative Life to check out staff photos, profiles of colleagues and more. Our team is planning stories for the year ahead. I hope you enjoy this and future issues as much as I do.
