Creative is partnering with Kai Ming Head Start to develop a localized, research-based ECE curriculum that is culturally responsive and anti-bias, emphasizes Asian heritage while being inclusive of Latino and other cultures, and supports dual language learners.
The curriculum will integrate essential frameworks—Head Start’s Early Learning Outcomes Framework (ELOF), the Parent, Family, and Community Engagement (PFCE) Framework, anti-bias education, the Project Approach, dual language learner strategies, and character education—into a single, cohesive and joyful learning experience. With a strong focus on play-based, project-oriented learning, the curriculum will support the development of children’s critical thinking, empathy, and inquiry skills.
This initiative builds on our nearly five decades of experience promoting inclusive and developmentally appropriate education— beginning with Creative’s pioneering work in creating the original Creative Curriculum for Head Start.
