CREATIVE’S PAST PROJECTS

40+ years of promoting positive change

Creative has implemented hundreds of projects around the globe since it was founded in 1977. From education and elections to governance and economic growth, Creative’s efforts have made a difference. For example, since the year 2000, Creative has trained more than 389,000 teachers in 21 countries—providing them with new skills and techniques that ultimately benefit their students.

BEPS/ZAMBIA: COMMUNITIES SUPPORTING HEALTH, HIV/AIDS, NUTRITION, GENDER AND EQUITY EDUCATION (CHANGES)

Health Date: July 2000 - March 2004

The USAID-funded Communities Supporting Health, HIV/AIDS, Nutrition, Gender and Equity Education (CHANGES) program put schools at the forefront of the fight against disease and for educational advancement. CHANGES focused on school health and nutrition, and on community sensitization and mobilization. Under the first component, teachers were trained to administer deworming medicines and micronutrient supplements. The second focused on preventive health and more educational opportunities for girls. Zambia/Human and Institutional Resources Development Project

Date: November 1985 – November 1985

Creative initiated the Zambia Human and Institutional Resources Development Project by conducting a manpower assessment study to assist the government in developing its technical, administrative and managerial human and institutional resources in the most critical areas of shortage.
