Iraq – Revitalization of Iraqi Schools and Stabilization of Education

Creative began efforts to bring together critical elements to revitalize the Iraqi educational system and encourage children to return to school. Specifically, the project distributed equipment and supplies to schools and students in Iraq; provided accelerated learning to students whose schooling had been interrupted by prewar conditions and ensuing instability; helped communities refurbish primary and secondary schools damaged or destroyed by war; worked with the Ministry of Education to plan reforms for Iraq’s education system; and trained teachers and school administrators in modern instructional methods, previously inaccessible in Iraq.
