GETTING TO KNOW NADYA

Nadya-150x150 Nadya joined Creative as a technical advisor in our Education Division in early 2022. She brings over 20 years of international development experience at the Aga Khan Foundation, Education Development Center, World Learning, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Her areas of focus include: blended learning, teacher professional development, early grades literacy and numeracy, accelerated learning programs for out-of-school girls/youth, and workforce development.

As Project Director for the dot-EDU Technology Tools for Teaching and Training (T4) activity in India, Nadya oversaw the design and implementation of an interactive audio, video, and computer-based series that reached nearly 40 million students and 200,000 teachers across nine states. She also designed and led the MEGA-SKY India project which was recognized for an award by the ILO. Passionate about reading, Nadya has mentored various startups and worked closely with corporate philanthropists on public-private partnerships to expand the availability of diverse, levelled, fiction and non-fiction reading materials – including co-creating a series of comic books titled Sheeba and the Private Detectives.

Prior to joining Creative, Nadya spent eight years in the IT sector mastering the intricacies of compiler development, system administration, web-design, and telecommunications during stints at Honeywell, Hewlett Packard, and Deloitte Consulting. Nadya has a degree in Environmental Science and Geography from the University of Colorado, at Boulder. Fluent in Urdu, spoken Hindi, and English, Nadya is perennially on the lookout to practice her rudimentary French.

She has lived and worked in Pakistan as a Country Director for World Learning. Her project work has provided her with a plethora of cultural (and culinary!) adventures in Afghanistan, India, Kenya, Namibia, Somalia, Tanzania, Tunisia, and Yemen.
