GETTING TO KNOW REBECCA

Rebecca serves as our senior technical director in our Education for Development Division. She brings with her years of experience providing technical assistance to literacy focused projects, ground-breaking research and the management of education programs globally. Prior to joining Creative, Rebecca spent 10 years at the American Institutes for Research, where she focused on literacy programming in multilingual-learning environments. She served as project director for the USAID-funded LAC Reads Capacity Program and oversaw the development of RedLEI, an early literacy network across Central America and the Caribbean. In addition, she published a systematic review on early literacy in the Latin America and Caribbean region through the Campbell Collaboration.

At Creative, Rebecca provides technical leadership and direction to our team of education advisors to ensure high quality support to Creative’s education projects around the world. Rebecca has her doctorate in International Education Policy and Leadership from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Niger. She has extensive experience in Central America and the Caribbean as well as West Africa, Ethiopia and Central Asia. She is fluent in English, Spanish and French, and proficient in Hausa.
