GETTING TO KNOW TIHANA
Tihana Bartulac Blanc is a Senior Associate in Electoral Integrity and Education Practice Area. In this role, she directs the BUILD project and supports the Practice Area Director in overall project management and business development related to elections in crisis countries focusing on Africa and Asia regions.
Do you have an accomplishment or programmatic result or activity that you are particularly proud of?
I helped bring the Burmese government officials and activists together to jointly observe the 2012 U.S. elections. In this experience, I helped establish Creative as an important elections stakeholder in the early days of Burma transitioning to democracy (shortly after April 2012 by-election).
Do you have a favorite, unique or fascinating story about your work in development?
In 2005, I received a civilian medal of honor for helping organize detainee voting in Abu Ghraib.
What is it that drew you to the company?
Creative’s employees and how they spoke highly of the company is what inspired me to join. Over the past five years that I’ve been with Creative, I have continued to work on a day to day basis with some of these same staff.
