Creative appoints new VP of Economic Growth Division

Eileen-Hoffman_final-2023-150x150 Eileen Hoffman has been appointed Vice President of the Economic Growth Division at Creative Associates International, the social impact company announced.

Creative President & CEO Leland Kruvant says Hoffman’s skills and experience align with the market and the direction of the company.

“I have high expectations for our Economic Growth Division given our successful work in West Africa, Central America and Asia,” Kruvant says. “Eileen is the right person for this position as Creative’s strategy in this sector highlights the importance of an enterprise-driven approach to sustainable economic growth, as well as the unique challenges that state fragility, climate and shocks pose to economic growth.”

Hoffman has 23 years of experience designing and managing economic growth projects, including 10 years working in developing countries and 11 years leading economic growth teams.

“I am passionate about economic growth and thrilled to join Creative and lead the Economic Growth Division,” Hoffman says. “I am particularly excited by the work that Creative does in fragile and non-permissive states where economic growth is pivotal to positive change.”

Economic Growth is one of three program Divisions at Creative, along with Education in Development and Communities in Transitions.

“I am also excited to collaborate with my colleagues in the Communities in Transition and the Education Divisions,” Hoffman says. “Good governance, stabilization, education, and workforce skills go hand in hand with access to economic opportunities and sustainable growth. Creative’s long history working in all of these areas is an incredible asset.”

In welcoming Hoffman to the social-impact company, Noy Villalobos, Creative’s Chief Programs Officer, says the newly appointed vice president has the right mix of experience and leadership required to be successful in the industry.

“I am thrilled to have Eileen join Creative’s Programs Office,” says Villalobos. “Her innovative spirit and extensive experience in leading and driving impact through economic development programs in fragile and non-permissive states makes her the perfect fit for this role.”

Hoffman joins Creative from Global Communities in Silver Spring, Maryland, where she was the Vice President of Program Quality and Accountability. She served as part of the senior executive team and was responsible for ensuring technical excellence and impact in programming across sustainable development, humanitarian, conflict and post-conflict contexts.

Previously, Hoffman spent nine years at Chemonics, where she served as the Senior Global Practice Lead for the Economic Growth and Trade Practice Area, and as a Senior Advisor for Economic Growth and Trade.
