GETTING TO KNOW ILHAM

Ilham-1-264x300 Ilham Nasser, Ph.D., comes to Creative with over 30 years of experience in training, curriculum development, and research in education in international settings. She has led the development of curriculum materials and teacher guides for early grades in several countries in the Middle East and North Africa. She also designed training manuals and led capacity building activities for teachers and supervisors of instruction. Most recently, she co-designed a curriculum on critical thinking and socioemotional learning specifically for youth who are refugees in Lebanon, Jordan, and Palestine. Ilham also designed materials to address socio emotional teaching and learning for young children and youth in conflict areas.  Ilham conducted studies and published articles and books on education in social and political contexts.   

Ilham serves as a Technical Senior Advisor on the Education for Development Division supporting the quality and effective technical implementation of Creative’s education portfolio in addition to supporting business development efforts.  Ilham holds a Ph.D. in Human Development and Child Study from the University of Maryland, College Park and a M.A . in School Counseling and Guidance. She is fluent in Arabic (native speaker) and English.
