GETTING TO KNOW JAMIE

Jamie comes to Creative with more than ten years of experience in education and development, including as a primary school teacher, program manager, and education consultant. Recently, Jamie led the creation and implementation of Education for Employment’s 2025 Education Strategy as well as the organization’s foundational standards for education and training, focused on improving educational content and delivery to prepare youth in the MENA region for the workforce. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jamie co-authored USAID’s Returning to Learning During Crises: Decision-making and Planning Tools for Education Leaders to support educators to address the impacts of the pandemic and school closures in LMICs. Prior to focusing on international education development, Jamie taught primary school in Oakland, California, where she worked in full inclusion classes, integrating learners with special needs into the general education classroom.

Jamie joined Creative as a Technical Advisor in the Education for Development Division to advance the technical implementation of Creative’s education portfolio and to support business development. Jamie has an M.A. in International Education Development from Teachers College, Columbia University, a B.A. in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a multi-subject teaching credential in the state of California. Jamie served in the Peace Corps in Mali and has experience in sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East & North Africa.
