Bar ama Baro – or “Teach or Learn” — is a five-year primary education program that supports the Government of Somalia in the design and delivery of comprehensive, inclusive non-formal education services. Through direct implementation of an Accelerated Basic Education (ABE) Bar ama Baro works to improve curriculum, increase capacity, extend service reach, strengthen learning support and ensure that children and youth (regardless of marginalization) will be able to access equitable, safe, conflict-sensitive education. Bar ama Baro is a program by the U.S. Agency for International Development that is implemented by Creative Associates International and other partners.
