My role as Business Development Manager for the Economic Growth Division is to provide strategic guidance and oversight for business development opportunities such as divisional resource management, multiyear budgetary planning, and proposal development support from preliminary positioning to submission.
I am also responsible for contributing to the Economic Growth marketing strategy, including the organization and execution of divisional initiatives, and ensuring that the division remains responsive to development trends and client directives.
I work directly with Economic Growth leadership and organizations across the industry to build partnerships in communities where Creative bids on programs.
Do you have an accomplishment, programmatic result or activity that you are particularly proud of?
I had privilege of working on the West Africa Trade and Investment Hub from proposal kick-off to project start-up in the field. I was part of the proposal development team and managed the recruitment strategy and candidate identification for this complex, multi-country procurement.
The requirements for key personnel were rigorous, and I worked extremely closely with the technical team during the proposal process to ensure that Creative’s recruitment positioning would be second to none.
When Creative received the award, I was also selected as a member of the programmatic startup team to lead in-country project recruitment for the technical and operations teams located in Abuja, Nigeria.
It was a professionally enriching experience to meet staff that I had communicated with virtually during the proposal stage and work together in-person to kick-off the Trade Hub program.
The partnership between Creative and the USAID-funded Trade Hub helped me understand a new way of utilizing grants to promote private sector engagement and expand our impact in West Africa.
