Muslim Leaders Sign Peace Pact

In Tamale, Ghana’s Northern Regional capital, Muslim denominational leaders recently signed a landmark peace agreement to promote intra-religious harmony and encourage dialogue to settle disputes.

Prior to that, OTI partnered with the Northern Regional Peace Council to train the religious leaders on conflict resolution, peacebuilding, and religious tolerance, which inspired them to formulate and sign the peace pact. Since the signing, the religious leaders periodically meet and hold dialogue sessions with their congregation about religious tolerance and social cohesion.
