WASHINGTON — Creative Associates International Senior Counsel, Cris Revaz, has been named one of this year’s top in-house attorneys in the Washington, D.C., region for his significant contributions to the international development organization.

Revaz is among a list of about 40 corporate attorneys from a wide range of industries recognized this year by the DCA, a publication covering Washington-area businesses and professionals. Revaz was formally recognized for his achievements at a Sept. 17 event.

“I’m incredibly flattered and honored to receive this award,” Revaz says. “D.C. boasts some of the top legal talent in the country, so to be recognized in that mix is gratifying and humbling.”

Revaz came to know Creative during his tenure as Executive Director of the Basic Education Coalition. Revaz later joined Creative in 2015 and said he enjoys supporting its vision of helping communities around the globe mitigate conflict, foster economic growth, improve literacy and more.

“Every day, I’m able to contribute to the mission of a company that brings education, employment and stability to the world’s most impoverished and vulnerable people,” he says. “Legal work is vital to our operations and success, and I’m always learning something new.”

Larry Grayer, Creative Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel, described Revaz as a major asset to the company’s work as a leading implementer of development programming in complex and challenging environments.

“I know that when Cris presents a legal issue, he has already contemplated the likelihood of various outcomes and thoroughly assessed the risks involved,” Grayer says. “Cris is a strong advocate for Creative and protecting the company’s global operations.”
