LA Gang Conference:
Sharing insights and evidence to prevent violenceMay 3, 2019
What does it take for violence prevention programming to effect change in vulnerable communities? Creative Associates International’s violence prevention and citizen security experts are convening with others in the field for the annual Gang Prevention and Intervention Conference in Long Beach, California, May 13-14. There, they’ll share the latest insights from Creative’s innovative work around the world, including family counseling for high-risk youth in Honduras, El Salvador and the Caribbean.
The week culminates with a Los Angeles study tour for elected officials and policymakers from Central America, who will learn from the experiences and best practices of L.A. government officials, law enforcement and civil society actors working to stem violence.
Check back here for updates from L.A. throughout the week.
